Noa Katana
Noa Katana is a creative strategist, creative director and creative technologist, born in Baden-Württemberg and raised outside Munich. He directed GAME for Yung Palo and Sony Music, took FiggDasGeld from the underground to a BMG signing with his partner, has produced music since 2020, and builds open-source tools: argmin, kleinhirn and Socratic Workshop. Based in Munich, he takes on creative direction, strategy, product marketing, AI automation and web projects across Bavaria and Germany.
It started in GIMP at twelve, making YouTube banners and avatars for whoever needed one. By fourteen the work looked like ad graphics for gaming brands, self-assigned and unpaid, made to learn how the real ones were built. Cinema 4D came next for motion, and with it the first client intros and small brand videos. Then my passion for music got started by FL Studio, turning into a side-hustle selling beats and running studio sessions worldwide in the world of EDM and Trap beats.

From the age of 14 to 21 I went all-in with producing music. Beats became projects, projects became albums. By 2023 the sessions were happening in Los Angeles. From Universal Studios to Rick Rubin’s American Recording in Burbank. My thoughts started to manifest in melodies. This time was crucial in maturing my vision, now wanting to not only build the beat, but build the artist and everything around them. Slowly pulling back at the roots I started from.

Almost a decade in entertainment later, the path bends back to the start. Technology, design and childlike creativity. This portfolio is part of that return, now assisted with state of the art AI to fully encapsulate my vision. If anything, it has always been about catching the sparks in my mind, transforming them into something physical, audible or visible. The way I see it, the most appropriate way for defining all of it at once, is as a Creative Technologist. I do that from Munich, for teams across Bavaria and Germany.

I was more than excited to work on this project for Yung Palo and Sony Music. Sharp, clean and intense. It happened around a time, in which I sought new ways of approaching a project like this. A project that had to encapsulate not only the song, but the artist and the world he wants to present to his audience.

Veni, vidi, generare. Every shotlist back in the day was either composed of rough sketches or random moodboards out of Pinterest or Tumblr. Back in December of 2024, I decided to take a new route. I generated the shotlist with Midjourney, prompting my vision accurately, regarding the capabilities of the image models back then. It allowed for the clearest picture ever seen by that point for the crew. Shooting day came around and my shotlist was the reference. That is what AI creative direction means to me: the model drafts, the director decides. The collage puts the shotlist next to the actual frames of the music video.

Starting from 2025, I got to directing and creating concepts for more music videos. Implementing cutting edge technology for that time in the process and the videos themselves. Ranging from MOULAGA by Sahil to COURTSIDE and WITHOUT YOU by FiggDasGeld. Capturing the essence of an artist in the rap space often means delicately incorporating their heritage and origins. Putting on display the whole crew, under blurry city nights and booming subs out of the BMWs and Mercedes whips. The reel shows a compilation of my other work.

Booming 808s, silky strings layered on a bed of vast and ethereal pads or a deep and funky house track, I don’t like labeling myself as a specific type of producer for a specific genre and a specific crowd. I’ve been working with various creatives for years, exploring new soundscapes and living for the mission of pushing the boundaries, because creating music shall never be processed through the same lens of creating a product.

The name is German for cerebellum, the small part of the brain that runs the reflexes. kleinhirn runs encoder models in your browser, on your own GPU, with no server in between: classification, embeddings, named entities and reranking, loaded straight from Hugging Face checkpoints across six model families. The GPU kernels are my own, written in WGSL for WebGPU, with a WASM fallback for machines without it. Your text never leaves the device. In every benchmark so far it beats ONNX Runtime Web, Microsoft’s standard for the job, by up to three times, and the engine is 47 KB gzipped.

An agent skill for Claude Code and Codex that turns the tutor around: you explain, the AI asks. It grew out of Miles Cranmer’s talk How to Avoid AI Brain Rot. The tutor asks one question at a time and only hints when you ask for it, so you repair your own reasoning and then try the idea on a new case. When a picture helps, it builds a small interactive visualization, like a gradient descent you can steer or where a Spanish adjective goes. Bring your own book, paper or codebase. You do the thinking.

From being a small name in the underground to being the next star in the German rap scene, in under a year of official collaboration. Me and my partner would refer ourselves to others as “Managers” but we were way more than that. Brand and image work, video concepts, campaign and release logic, asset preparation and a one-hour live talk show format that German Twitch had never seen before.

October 2025. The signature landed at BMG, months after the work with FiggDasGeld had only just turned official. From where we started to being the first signed artist on “The New BMG”, we were part of the Zeitgeist. The deal opened up vibrant and exciting avenues of expressing FDG as an artist. It remains a privilege to work with the team we are working with at Bertelsmann Music Group. I can attest to nothing but an excellent collaboration this past year.

Unchained was the first project released under our management, and it paved the way to working with BMG for the next big thing after that. A question that has been answered as a narrative under two parts. Days B4 Hit Music Only landed in March 2026 as a four-track EP, and Hit Music Only followed in September as a thirteen-track album on all platforms. The EP gave the fans a glimpse, the album opened up the gates. The sound, the music videos, the visualizers and the campaign around them made sure to embody that sequential release. This is the point where we created our own world, with its own language and sound.

Servus! You found… me…! I’m 24, born in Baden-Württemberg and raised in a small village outside of Munich, in rural Bavaria. That probably explains my love and passion for being outside most of the time. I love camping, producing music, long walks, sitting on my favourite oakmoss bed and filling out my journal with unreadable ideas and poems. I lift weights regularly, and when the chance comes up, a game of padel or beach volleyball.

If you tell people that you love food, everyone’s like duh… But I really LOVE food. Had it not been for my fitness journey, showing me the sad reality of not having infinite calories when trying to lose 25KG in 20 weeks, it really made me start to appreciate not only the consumption of food, but also the craft of it. I have been on a mission ever since, trying to convert every heretic, that high-protein meals can taste just as, if not even more delicious than some established recipes.

I have always been someone who loves being behind the scenes, if the scene itself profits from me doing so. I’m obsessed with making it flawless and thus being the one that tells the eye where to look. I don’t shy away from being in the centre, if it translates into the fulfillment of what it is that we’re trying to achieve. If the results speak for me, I can stay silent and dive right into the next project.
